XRUSA is s a 501©(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the protection, assistance, and re-homing of the Xoloitzcuintle. XRUSA works to provide education about the Xoloitzcuintle breed to individuals interested in adopting, to shelters, and to the general public, in an effort to help ensure the welfare of this unique and ancient breed.

Xoloitzcuintle Rescue USA members, located throughout North America, volunteer their time and effort serving as guardians for Xoloitzcuintle Breed. Our goal is to preserve and protect Xoloitzcuintle in need. XRUSA strives to provide veterinary care, transportation, and foster homes for Xolos in need, whenever possible, until they can be carefully matched to an approved home.

XRUSA members are involved in Xoloitzcuintle Rescue USA for no other reason than concern for Xolos in need. Understand our limitations we realize we cannot save every dog, while believing that by working together, we help those we can. XRUSA works within the framework of local and civil laws, in order to protect the dogs, as well as all parties concerned.
